Q. How much will my project cost?

A. Costs are determined by the type of materials, the scope of work involved, accessibility to the work site, project duration and complexity. Contact us for an estimate.


Q. Who supplies the fixtures?

A. The customer will, usually, pick out fixtures such as faucets, vanity lights and other specialty hardware. Guzman Fine Carpentry can direct you to vendors who supply the items you want and provide design ideas and feedback throughout the process.


Q. How do you prevent dust from getting into the rest of the house?

A. Preventive measures like shutting down the air systems, draping plastic over furniture, placing plastic walls and barriers are all used to contain dust and debris within the project area.


Q. What are your payment policies?

A. Most projects require a deposit by check or certified funds of 30%-50%, larger projects will require progress payments.


Q. When can you start?


A. Most jobs start within two weeks of scheduling. Larger projects require more planning and are usually scheduled 6-8 weeks from contract signing.


Q. How long will my project take?

A. Generally a bathroom can take three to four weeks to completely renovate. Kitchens can take four or more weeks depending on the size and the scope of the work being performed.


Q. Where do I find kitchen cabinets or a bathroom vanity?

A. Some bathroom vanity cabinets along with lower cost products are regularly in stock and available within 24 hours. You can start looking at door and cabinet styles on-line. Guzman Fine Carpentry has multiple vendors that provide these items. Once you pick a style we can help you find the product that best matches your budget.



Q. How long do I have to wait for a custom item for my project?

A. High-quality, custom products such as built-ins, bathroom vanities, and kitchen cabinets can take 4+ weeks to produce. We aim to order these items before we start the project to minimize delays.



Q. Do I need to obtain a permit?

A. Most cities & towns require permits for any structural, construction work. At the start of a job, we will determine if they're required and help you obtain the proper permits for your project.



Q. Do you have insurance?

A. Yes, we are insured up to $1M.



Q. Are you authorized to work in Massachusetts?

A. Yes, we are licensed & registered in the Commonwealth Massachusetts.
