He did everything from removing old tiles, installing new drywall, building a new closet to enclose our water heater, installing cabinets and custom shelves, and all the skilled finish carpentry that comes with a renovation.
He was always polite, friendly and professional, and took the time to clean up after every day as well. This room was an annoying “jig-saw puzzle” because of all the plumbing/pipes that needed to be boxed in, and a weird layout that required thoughtful placement of cabinets. Elvin rolled with the punches and made everything look so beautiful.
We have had some negative experiences with carpenters in the past, and Elvin was such a breath of fresh air. If you live in/near Salem, MA , you should absolutely hire Guzman Fine Carpentry for your next project!"

"Elvin did an outstanding job repairing the wood frames of two side doors of my house, one leading to the main house and the other to the garage. The wood frames were rotted at the bottom. He was able to cut off the rotted parts and replaced them seamlessly with vinyl parts to prevent future wet rot, a very creative solution. He replaced the thresholds, the weather stripping of the doors, and replaced the wood molding of the garage door. They were beautifully done.
Elvin also rebuilt one of my kitchen cabinet drawers and installed the drawer slides. The carpentry job is beautiful as shown in the picture. I’m very happy that the drawer slides smoothly and perfectly.
Elvin also helped me install a bathroom towel ring, caulked a kitchen sliding door and repaired a loose closet door molding piece. They were all done perfectly.
I am very pleased with the outstanding carpentry work that he has done. He even cleaned up the work spaces nicely after the jobs.
Elvin is a very pleasant, kind and sweet person. I would recommend him very highly, without any hesitation, to anyone looking for a great carpenter to do big or small jobs. You will enjoy working with him and will be very pleased with the results."
